Blue Medora is excited to announce the addition of new functionality to two of its management packs for vRealize Operations — Citrix XenDesktop & XenApp and F5 BIG-IP — to extend your visibility for your Xen and F5 workloads to optimize performance across the IT stack.
The F5 BIG-IP Management Pack from Blue Medora gives application server administrators the ability to see the connections and workloads that are load-balanced by F5 Application Servers. The extended visibility ensures makes it easy to see the impact of outages of F5 Node outages on the application server, giving insight into key indicators like connections, sessions, throughput and packets.
Figure 1: New functionality in the F5 BIG-IP Management Pack includes the Nutanix VM to F5 BIG-IP Application Dashboard.
The F5 BIG-IP Management Pack extends relationship mapping in vRealize Operations to see relationships within the F5 BIG-IP environment, as well as out to the virtual layer and beyond. When combined with Blue Medora’s Management Packs for KVM and Nutanix, uncover other resources through external relationships, including:
To view relationships in more detail, the Management Pack now includes True Visibility dashboards, including F5 BIG-IP Application to Nutanix and Nutanix VM to F5 BIG-IP Application. Extend monitoring and visibility to clearly understand how F5 nodes and devices impact other layers to optimize performance across the IT stack.

New functionality within the Management Pack includes the addition of the Citrix XenDesktop Session Latency dashboard, which provides details and KPIs about top latent sessions in your Xen environment. It offers a topology view, where administrators can view relevant relationships and users related to their sessions.
In addition to the Citrix XenDesktop Session Latency dashboard, the Management Pack features 11 other dashboards, such as the Citrix XenDesktop Overview, Citrix XenDesktop Relationships and Citrix XenDesktop Application Details. Combined with access to more than 690 metrics, the Management Pack ensures you have optimal visibility into your Xen environments so you can improve troubleshooting and optimize performance.
